7 Simple Ways to Enjoy Summer
Being Green and Healthy is Cool!

Eat, Dress, Bathe, Breathe... and a few other simple things you can do to enjoy those hot summer days that we all dream about in January!

New USDA Dietary Guidelines
Health Beyond the Pyramid

"Eat more fruit and veggies, exercise and reduce salt, sugar and fat" - that's it in a nutshell folks.

For more than 30 years the USDA has published dietary guidelines, but we haven't become healthier... so what's the diff this time?

Well, maybe they've heard author Michael Pollan's  mantra, "Eat food. Mostly plants. And not too much."

The board still has a long way to go in my opinion, but they may be headed in the right direction!

Cool Summer Yoga Poses
Relaxing and Stress-Free Asanas

Your clothes change with the season. Your yoga practice should too.

Minimize heating poses like warrior and triangle, and focus instead on cooling forward bends and inversions. With the air already hot, the muscles and connective tissue are receptive to these intensely satisfying poses.
